THE BRONX - Some Bronx teens decided to spend their holiday break giving back to the community.

The Youth Empowerment Program is designed to bridge the gap between seniors and young people in hopes that both age groups will develop an appreciation for each other.

The volunteers spent the day at the Workmen?s Circle MultiCare Center, bringing holiday spirit to the elderly with arts and crafts and nail painting.

Leaders tell News 12 The Bronx they will visit three other senior centers within the holiday season.
