THE BRONX - A Bronx youth soccer club is helping players achieve their goals both on the field and in the classroom.
For members of the South Bronx United, soccer is more than just a sport. They say it's the kickoff to what they hope will be a lifetime of success.
Former teacher and co-founder Andrew So started the team five years after realizing that kids interested in soccer needed more than just a seasonal after-school team.
That's why he started the year-round group that not only meets on the field, including practices and weekend games around the city, but also logs plenty of time together with their books.
