Officials break ground on Boone Ave. residential development

A groundbreaking ceremony was held Thursday for a new residential development in West Farms.

The buildings will include hundreds of apartments for those making less than $51,000 annually.

WEST FARMS - A groundbreaking ceremony was held Thursday for a new residential development in West Farms.

Officials say the property will eventually be home to multiple 15-story residential buildings with 237 apartments on Boone Avenue.

Residents who make under $51,000 per year will qualify to live in the apartments.

Developers say they hope to have 10 buildings completed on the property within the next 7 years.
