SOUNDVIEW - Snow is still falling across the borough, especially in Soundview, but some roads aren't as bad as originally predicted.

Most people have taken Mayor Michael Bloomberg's advice and stayed indoors, but some are out and about. The cars out now mainly consist of snowplows, emergency vehicles and livery cabs.

Motorists, as well as pedestrians, should be careful of areas that appear smooth. Much of the rain and sleet that fell earlier today has likely frozen over.
