CO-OP CITY - Many Bronx businesses closed up shop on Friday evening, but some decided to stay open through the storm.

In Co-op City, the smaller establishments in Bay Plaza shuttered early, but others, such as Dallas BBQ and an AMC movie theater decided to remain open for business.

A 24-hour Pathmark in the same shopping center said it would operate as scheduled, even though Mayor Michael Bloomberg urged all residents to stay home through the storm.
