Original B-boy "Crazy Legs" returns home to the Bronx
One of the original B-boys from the Bronx is making his homecoming after traveling the world battling on the dance floor.
50-year-old Richard "Crazy Legs" Colon started dancing at the age of 10. The moves he came up with were the beginning of the breaking and battling movement in the dance world.
Since then, Colon has made a career teaching dance around the world from Los Angeles to Japan.
He also recently started educating those he encounters about the economic crisis in Puerto Rico that hits home for him and his family.
"I felt like doing that would lend to the power of hip-hop and I could use it as a tool for positive things," says Colon. "We don't realize the power that we have access to and how it can help the community."
