The heat and the humidity made for a sweltering day in the Bronx.
Thursday saw a high temperature of 90 degrees, and the humidity made for thick and oppressive conditions.
Friday is expected to see temperatures in the 90s with a chance of a late-day thunderstorm. Heat index values are expected to hit between 100 and 105 degrees this upcoming weekend.
A heat advisory is in place for the Bronx through 7 p.m. in Saturday.
