Best of the Bronx: Mural brings pride, history to Castle Hill
The Castle Hill Houses are getting a new look as part of a summer program to beautify NYCHA complexes across the city.
A bit of the old generation and the new generation have come together to create a mural at the Castle Hill Houses about a young person's journey. The mural depicts some of the history of Castle Hill, including the No. 6 train and the No. 22 bus.
The mural is part of a program created by Groundswell. The program is using art to help bring pride and history to NYCHA communities.
The Castle Hill mural will be worked on throughout August. It will be unveiled during a dedication ceremony on Aug. 31.
