9-year-old makes candles to help kids with cancer

A 9-year-old boy started making candles out of spoons to benefit Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital after the death of his grandmother

Elijah Cruz and his family hope to sell enough candles to allow Cruz to meet sick children at the Saint Jude's Hospital in Memphis.

Cruz and his family call the idea, "Lights of Hope."

"It makes me upset that a lot of people don't have cancer and a lot of people do," Cruz said.

After Cruz makes it to Memphis and meets children, he says he has dreams of becoming a scientist to cure cancer.
