A bakery is bringing some of the West Indian region to the Bronx.
Jackie's West Indian Bakery on East 233rd Street has been in business for 29 years.
The eatery serves up sandwiches and pastries that give customers a taste of Jamaica.
Patrons say the bakery is still around because of the great food and the longtime employees.
"You're not just getting someone who's saying 'next,' you're getting people who have a story to tell, and people who are embedded in their product," says owner Don Nkrumah.
