A group of Bronx FDNY members received promotions at a ceremony Wednesday.
The department's commissioner promoted 27 paramedics to the rank of lieutenant at the FDNY Training Academy.
The honorees have a combined 330 years of experience, officials say.
The group also exemplifies the department's diversity, with the members of the group speaking a total of seven languages.
