3 accused of beating man with dumbbell in the Bronx

Three men are accused of beating a man with a 5-pound dumbbell in the Bronx.

The incident happened on August 27 inside the victim's apartment on Decatur Avenue and East 211th Street in Norwood around 1:40 a.m.

Police say three men broke into the 43-year-old man's apartment and kicked and assaulted him with a 5-pound rubber dumbbell.

The suspects ransacked the victim's apartment, searching dresser drawers and closets before running away.

Police say nothing was stolen and that the men covered their faces from security cameras inside the lobby of the building.

The victim suffered multiple lacerations to his head and was transported to the hospital in critical but stable condition.
