Lehman High School alum T.J. Rivera will be in the starting lineup for the Mets Wednesday in the National League Wild Card game against the San Francisco Giants.
Rivera made the 15-minute drive Wednesday afternoon from his parent's house in the Bronx to Citi Field in Queens.
Rivera grew into an everyday player over the course of the season at second base, starting 15 of the team's final 18 regular season games.
He batted .333 for the Mets and also had two hits against San Francisco's starter for the game, Madison Bumgarner.
