Police: Suspects used anti-Muslim slurs in attack on man

Police are searching for three suspects connected to a possible hate crime in Fordham.

The incident happened back on Sept. 15 around 10 p.m.

Police say a 25-year-old man was walking with his mom when he heard some anti-Muslim racial slurs coming from a nearby Toyota Camry.

They say when the man approached the car to confront the verbal attackers, two of the men got out of the car and punched him in the face.

Police are searching for the driver and passenger of that car, as well as a woman who was present at the time of the incident.

Police describe both men as Hispanic, in their 20s and between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall.

They say the woman is also believed to be Hispanic about 5 feet 6 inches tall.
