VH1 Save the Music presents Bronx middle school with new grand piano
The VH1 Save the Music Foundation presented students and faculty members at M.S. 224 in the Bronx with the gift of a new piano Tuesday.
Music programs at schools across New York City have been facing the threat of budget cuts for several decades, the foundation says.
Last year, P.S. 224 in Mott Haven, along with hundreds of other schools across the country, entered to win a grand piano through the Keys+Kids musical program.
Tuesday, they were presented with the grand prize of a grand piano.
Musical artist Daya was also at the school to present the gift.
