Clothesline campaign seeks to air out domestic violence
In a bid to encourage victims of domestic violence to air out their dirty laundry, advocates are writing supportive messages and hanging them on clotheslines in plain sight.
It's the 12th year that BOOM! Health has sponsored the program.
Statistics show more than 75,000 domestic violence incidents have been reported in the Bronx.
Advocates say domestic violence is often hidden from the public view. The campaign aims to bring it into daylight.
