Tenants of 949 Ogden Ave. in Highbridge say they had no choice but to sue their landlord over conditions in their building.
Tenants arrived at Bronx Housing Court Thursday morning to file a lawsuit against Midas Management. They say the landlord has not taken care of much needed repairs, including water damage and collapsed ceilings.
Tenants also say the front door does not lock, creating a major security concern.
News 12 The Bronx received a statement from landlord Concord Holdings - which falls under Midas Management - saying, "Concord Holdings takes its responsibilities under the housing maintenance code seriously and will continue to comply with the law."
