Hunts Point church dedicates Mass to fallen and current officers

A Hunts Point church dedicated Sunday's Mass to fallen and current police officers working in local precincts.

Father Jose Rivas dedicated the hour Mass at Saint Athanasius Roman Catholic church to the officers of the 41st Precinct.

The church organized the event in an effort to bring local officers and community members together through prayer.

After the Mass, Father Rivas and parishioners walked to the 41st Precinct to give it a special blessing.
