Volunteers join vets to help beautify Bronx garden

Bronx residents joined military veterans Sunday to help beautify a community garden in Morris Heights.
Volunteers helped replace old benches with new ones in an effort to help spruce up the Leave it Better Kids Garden on Grand Avenue.
The Leave it Better Foundation is made up of neighborhood volunteers who want to improve the community.
It's composed of South Bronx student volunteers interested in community service projects.
Volunteers worked with the nonprofit The Mission Continues, a group geared toward helping veterans adjust to civilian life.
Volunteers are also working to build a shed to house gardening tools.
