NY Botanical Garden's train show features replicas made from plants
Architecture made out of plant parts is currently on display at the New York Botanical Gardens for the annual Holiday Train Show.
The New York Botanical Garden's 25th annual Holiday Train Show will feature 150 replicas of New York buildings from all five boroughs and the Hudson River Valley.
"There are over 25 trains running on tracks throughout the conservatory, and there are over 150 New York landmarks represented," says Rachel Daubmann, of NYBG Public Engagement.
All of the buildings, trains and bridge replicas are made from plant parts.
The Bronx is represented in the show with a replica of the old Yankee Stadium and the New York Botanical Garden conservatory.
Organizers of the train show say there will be a new Coney Island experience as well, which will feature a moving roller coaster and Ferris wheel.
Other landmarks featured include Grand Central Terminal and the Statue of Liberty.
The train show runs from Nov. 19 to Jan. 16.
