Brush Avenue, a road Throgs Neck residents try to avoid but is often congested with traffic anyway, may soon get some upgrades.
The Department of Transportation says it will try to ease traffic there next year.
A traffic study found that 84 percent of traffic turns left off of the road, so the city will expand leftward access on the northbound lane.
Neighbors say that will help cars get off the road more easily, freeing up lanes for other drivers.
