Jewelry store employee pistol whipped in West Farms

Two men pistol whipped a jewelry store employee in the Bronx, police say.

The incident happened at the Cobra II Jewelry store on East Tremont Avenue in West Farms around 7 p.m. Monday.

Police say at least two masked men entered the rear of the store and hit one employee in the head with a gun.

Another employee was in the store at the time, but police say they were not injured. The man who was struck in the head was transported to the hospital.

Police say the suspects took off after the incident, and it is not clear if they actually stole anything.
