3 steal $10K from 87-year-old man during home invasion in the Bronx

An 87-year-old man was robbed at knifepoint by three men who broke into his Bronx home and stole $10,000, police say.

The incident happened on Tuesday inside the man's 157th Street and Elton Avenue home around 10 a.m.

Police say a suspect claiming to be a deliveryman was buzzed into the apartment building by the victim's caretaker.

Once inside, police say the suspect was joined by two other men dressed in ski masks and gloves who tied up the 24-year-old woman and left her inside the bathroom.

The suspects then threatened the 87-year-old man with a knife and ordered him to hand over cash.

The three got away with $10,000, police say.

No one was injured during the robbery.
