Loretta Spencer said she wanted to spruce up her building for the holidays, so she bought bows, ribbons and Christmas decorations.

Residents from the first through six floors came together to express their gratitude and celebrate the holiday spirit. They sang Christmas songs, and Santa also made a special appearance.

"It's really inspirational for everyone and the kids. It touching to everyone heart so see all the decorations it's like our neighborhood really cares," said one young resident.

Spencer says she's going to try to continue bringing Christmas cheer to the whole building every year.
