Many customers headed to the stores Monday to return unwanted gifts they received over the holiday weekend or to take advantage of the after-Christmas deals.
Many stores offered customers an abundance of deals. In some cases, prices were up to 60 percent off.
Some stores even opened up earlier than usual because of these deals.
According to the Nation Retail Federation, 48 percent of consumers planned to take advantage of in-store after-Christmas sales this year.
