BX residents ring in New Year’s locally

While massive crowds gathered in Times Square for New Year's Eve, many Bronx residents decided to stay local to kick off 2017.

New Year's Eve extravaganzas took place at Havana Cafe and Tosca Marquee in the Bronx.

Both events were sold out and featured open bars, buffets, DJs, dance floors and champagne.

Residents in the Bronx say celebrating the holiday close to home is safer, more convenient and still plenty of fun.
