Police: Man abducted at gunpoint in Pelham Bay

Police say a 34-year-old man was abducted by armed suspects at a barbershop Tuesday afternoon in Pelham Bay.

A source close to an employee of Continental Haircutters tells News 12 that several men approached a customer as he was leaving the shop around 2:15 p.m., apparently yelling "where's my money."

The source says the victim ran back inside the Wilkinson Avenue shop and went into the bathroom, and the suspects broke down the door and removed him at gunpoint.

Police say the victim was forced into a black Toyota minivan that fled southbound on Westchester Avenue. They say they are searching for at least four suspects.
