Police: Bronx man believed to have been kidnapped found safe

Police say a Bronx man who they say was believed to be kidnapped by a group of men while he was getting a haircut inside a local barbershop Tuesday has been found safe.

They say 34-year-old Russell Lowe was abducted at Continental Haircutters on Wilkinson Avenue around 2:15 p.m. in Pelham Bay.

Officials say that witnesses told them a group of men entered the shop and forcibly removed Lowe, throwing him into the back of a black 2014 Toyota Sienna with New York plates. Witnesses say one of the men was armed with a gun.

Neighbors believed that Lowe may have owed money to the men and that they came to collect it.
