Police arrest man accused of chokehold, gunpoint robbery

A suspect accused of placing a man in a chokehold and putting a gun to his head before robbing him inside a Bronx subway station has been arrested, police say. 



Melvin Guerra, 38, of the Bronx, was arrested Wednesday after police say he placed a 34-year-old man in a chokehold and pointed a gun at his head inside the 231st Street and Broadway subway station on Nov. 6.



Guerra is also accused of stealing the man's wallet and cellphone.



He is facing multiple robbery charges, according to police.
