Bronx mother killed by stray bullets in shooting

Four children are without a mother after a shooting in the West Farms section of the Bronx.

Cindy Diaz, 48, was killed Friday around 5 p.m. after she was hit by two stray bullets in the arm and torso.

"It was a [expletive] idiot's fault and the [expletive] politicians' fault who don't care about these neighborhoods," says Diaz's ex-husband, Angel Rosario.

Rosario says that he has consistently applied for housing as he tried to get his family out of their neighborhood, and is urging police to increase patrols in the area.

Officials say a man who they believe was the intended target was also shot in the arm during the incident.
