$10K reward offered for arrest of suspect in fatal shooting of Bronx mom

Police are hoping new surveillance video of a suspect accused in a deadly shooting in the Bronx and a $10,000 reward will lead to an arrest.

The shooting happened Friday on Boston Road in West Farms around 5 p.m.

Officials say Cindy Diaz, 48, of the Bronx, was fatally shot while walking home from a McDonald's with food for her kids.

Diaz was struck once in the arm and body by what officers say were stray bullets intended for another target.

She was rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital where police say she was pronounced dead.

A 19-year-old boy was also struck once in the arm, and police believe he was the intended target of the shooting.

The teen was transported to the hospital in a private car.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
