DOT rates best, worst city streets
The city Department of Transportation announced the neighborhoods with the best and worst streets in the Big Apple this week.
Parkchester scored low, garnering a rating of 30.3, while Williamsbridge earned an 81.5.
Residents of both neighborhoods who spoke with News 12 said they agreed with the ratings.
The DOT says inspectors looked for street cracking, patching, surface peeling and rutting when assigning grades.
