BX diners weigh in on Trump presidency
With Trump's inauguration Friday, many Bronx residents voiced their opinions on issues that they hope the new president will address.
Some patrons at the Crosstown diner say they would like Trump to boost the middle class and manage immigration. The majority, however, tells News 12 The Bronx they'd like to see Trump address the high cost of college education.
"Just make the college process easier, the college tuition to pay easier," said Throgs Neck native and college freshman Louis Arias. "I'm on loans and so are my parents. I am on a scholarship from my school but still it's tough to pay."
Other Bronx residents have a different outlook on college tuition. "I don't believe in free tuition because the only free cheese is in the trap," says one resident. "But I would like for more people to pay their own way."
Ultimately, despite diners' concerns, they say they're hopeful for America and the next four years.
