Hurricane strength wind gusts possible in the Bronx

High wind gusts are possible in the City Island section of the Bronx as a nor'easter approaches the coastline Monday.

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for the borough beginning today and lasting through early Tuesday morning.

Heavy wind and rain is expected to impact the region.

Snow may be possible, but only to the north and south of the city.

The possibility for power outages and flying debris also raises concerns, officials say.

Officials are urging residents who live near coastal areas to exercise caution and be aware of flooding areas.
