City Island students land on TV for Kindness Challenge

P.S. 175 on City Island garnered national recognition for its role in a worldwide, mid-January kindness challenge.

The Great Kindness Challenge, founded in 2011 by a California girl and her mother, implores schools all around the globe to focus on kindness, positivity and well-wishing.

To help promote benevolence, the P.S. 175 principal says the school rewards students with extra recess and ice cream parties.

The students' dedication to the challenge landed them on national television.
