Sex assault case against NYPD officer moves forward
Prosecutors disclosed evidence in court Tuesday against a high-ranking 49th Precinct officer accused of forcibly touching a female subordinate in November.
Deputy Inspector Keith Walton allegedly called the woman into his office and grabbed her genitals twice, according to the criminal complaint.
He also allegedly threatened her.
Walton, who was stripped of his badge and gun and placed on modified duty, has pleaded not guilty. Residents of the community he served have repeatedly attended his court appearances to lend support.
He is due back in court on March 28.
