Paralyzed Rutgers football player huddles with BX students

A former college football player whose career was cut short by injury told students to believe in themselves Tuesday during a visit to their Bronx charter school.



Eric LeGrand, a former Rutgers football player who became paralyzed during a game in 2010, said the incident halted his football career but not his dreams.



Students at the NYC Montessori Charter School said they found his message inspiring.



Every Tuesday after the Super Bowl, the school invites football players to speak to promote good character.
