Snow slows but can’t stop Hunts Point

As the snow began to taper off in the borough, many families took the opportunity to step outside for a walk and enjoy the snow.

On Longwood Avenue, many businesses were still open and the sidewalks were full of people coming out of their homes and continuing their day as usual.

Residents went shopping, ran errands and did laundry.

Families also came out with their kids bundled up in multiple layers to play in the snow before it turned to slush.

Temperatures are expected to plummet into the teens overnight.
