Snow makes for busy National Pizza Day
On a cold day, many New Yorkers were looking for ways to keep warm -- so a day off for some became a busy one for pizza delivery workers.
And aside from being a snow day, Thursday was National Pizza Day.
Rudy Blanca, the deliveryman at Joe's Pizza on Middletown Road, says the risk of driving on icy roads was worth the reward he made in tips.
"It's dangerous out there," Blanca says. "It's slippery, cold, but the good thing is the people, they're generous. They understand that."
