BX veterans receive recognition at Lehman College

Over 40 Bronx veterans were honored on Friday at Community Board 7's Veterans Breakfast at Lehman College.

Senators, council members, assembly members and the district attorney all showed up to support the honored veterans.

Each honoree received a Soaring Eagle Award. Veterans say they greatly appreciated the recognition.

It was announced at the event that a street and a park will be named after Bronx Tuskegee Airman Dr. Roscoe Brown. A memorial will also be dedicated to Dominican veterans who fought in World War II.
