Miss Wheelchair New York 2017 visits Project DreamAIR

Miss Wheelchair New York 2017 visited Project DreamAIR Saturday, teaching its members to overcome hardships and embrace challenge.

Daniyah Manderson, a grade school teacher, spoke to the young women about how to face bullying, deal with school, peers and other adversities they may face in their lives.

Manderson says she is using her accomplishments to empower young women and to show them that they can be successful regardless of whatever barriers might come their way.

Project DreamAIR is a college-readiness program that strives to expose young women to different opportunities and resources in the Bronx.
