Video shows residents slipping on ice-covered bridge in the Bronx

A pedestrian walkway in the Bronx was turned into a sheet of ice sending commuters sailing for the railing Monday.

The bridge connects a public parking lot over I-95 to Baychester Avenue, and is frequently used by students and faculty members of Truman High School.

A viewer sent in a video of residents gripping the railing of the bridge Monday as they tried not to slip and fall.

The Department of Sanitation spread salt on the bridge after receiving multiple complaints.

One witness says it took her 15 minutes to walk down the stairs, and that people were falling around her.

No injuries were reported, and the bridge has since been cleared of ice.
