NYPD takes on seniors at dominoes in Crotona Park East

NYPD officers took on seniors at dominoes in Crotona Park East on Thursday.

The NYPD hosted its first dominoes tournament at the Casa Boricua Senior Center to give seniors a chance to connect with the men and women who police their community.

The NYPD tells News 12 that the event was also an opportunity for the officers to educate seniors on ways to stay safe both at home and out in the community.

Lt. Jose Torres, of NYPD Community Affairs, said they wanted to let the seniors know the department is there to provide any kind of assistance that they may require.
