Van crashes into Bronx mini-mart, nearly crushes man

A mini-van plowed through a mini-mart in the Bronx, nearly crushing a customer inside.

Surveillance video from inside the Mobil gas station off the Grand Concourse shows the moment the white mini-van comes crashing through the wall striking stocked shelves and nearly pinning a man Sunday around 4:30 p.m.

The man was lucky to have only suffered minor injuries, police say.

Police say the van, which can be seen coming to a rolling stop outside the storefront, was operated by a woman who appears to struggle to come to a stop completely before driving head-on into the store.

Matin Osei, the manager at the gas station, appeared upset at the idea of one of his customers being hurt, and says he has worked in the store for a while and has never seen anything like this before.

Police did not say if the woman was facing any charges, but are still investigating what happened.
