New affordable housing unveiled in Morrisania
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held today to mark the completion of new affordable housing in Morrisania. The 279-unit building is being named in honor of Tuskegee Airman and Bronx Community College President Dr. Roscoe C. Brown. Brown served in WWII as one of the first African-American military pilots in the armed forces and was honored with several medals. The 11-story building features an education center for children.
