Temps start to climb as harsh winter winds down

One week into March, the winter weather is slowly but steadily improving in time for residents to spring ahead. Sunday morning marks the start of daylight savings time, so clocks jump ahead an hour.

Temps start to climb as harsh winter winds down
One week into March, the winter weather is slowly but steadily improving in time for residents to spring ahead.
Sunday morning marks the start of daylight savings time, so clocks jump ahead an hour.
In Parkchester, Bronx residents were still bundled up, but many said they were enjoying a bright, sunny day.
Because of the sun and warmer air, the snow on the ground has finally begun to melt. 
Runoff may re-freeze overnight into Sunday morning before melting again during the string of expected sunny days to come.
