Word on the Street: Token booth clerks

There were more than 3,000 token booth clerks a decade ago.

There are currently 2,600 clerks, and the Daily News has reported that there could be less over the next few years due to an MTA plan.

The MTA plans to move some of the clerks out of their familiar enclosed spots and put them in other areas of subway platforms.

News 12 hit the streets to ask residents what they thought about the plan and how often they go to the booths.
