An independent movie, set in the late 80s and present day, has begun filming in the Bronx.
"Back in the Day" is about an Italian-Puerto Rican teen who grew up in a dangerous neighborhood.
It tells the story about his journey to turn his life around, and become a successful professional boxer.
News 12 the Bronx spoke with the lead actor and director about how the movie could touch many from the borough.
"People will be able to relate to it because a lot of people growing up in Brooklyn or the Bronx weren't born with silver spoons in their mouths. We have to do something to get somewhere. Blue collar people mostly. And that's what this character comes from," said actor William Demeo.
