Tremont apartment building without power after fire
Residents of a Tremont apartment building say they have been without power since a fire broke out Monday.
The fire started at around 6 p.m. on Tiebout Avenue. Two contractors were at the building Tuesday trying to restore the power, but no progress was made.
One tenant says the food in their refrigerator is beginning to spoil, and they cannot afford to stay in a hotel.
The Red Cross arrived at the scene after the fire, but an order to displace the residents and give them temporary housing was never given.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
