Veterans job fair held in Co-op City

A Co-op City job and resource fair looked to give veterans a helping hand Wednesday.
The job fair was hosted by Councilman Andy King.
There were 15 organizations on hand at the Dreiser Loop Community Center to provide veterans with employment opportunities, resources and support.
According to the New York State Department of Labor, unemployment for veterans remains stagnant at 5 percent.
Councilman King says that the event is important because the men and women who return back from service need to be able to provide for themselves and their families.
Those who hosted the job and resource fair say that it's a token of their appreciation for the veterans who sacrificed so much.
Companies at the event included J.P. Morgan Chase, the New York State Department of Labor and Black Veterans Social Justice Inc.
